The International Meetings of Mirecourt
It's the 7th Mirecourt International Violin Competition!
The annual International Musical Meetings of Mirecourt created in 2009, present an International Violin Competition alternating with a Classical Music Festival.
The purpose of these meetings is to bring together musicians, violin and bow makers, to promote the french music of the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries and to highlight new talents.
This website will provide you with all useful information concerning the Rencontres Internationales de Musique de Mirecourt supported by the Jeunesses Musicales de Mirecourt.

Last-year-competition-awards!
Qingzhu Weng, 1st prize unanimously
Aside to his first prize, he gets the audience prize (spectators favorite candidate), orchestra prize (Orchestra of the Lorraine National Opera musicians favorite) and the special prize for the best interpretation of the contemporary piece of Florentine Mulsant (Concert sonata).
Gawon Kim, 2nd prize
Aside to her second prize, she gets the violin makers prize (National Violin Manufacturing School students favorite) and the bow makers special pize, a modern bow made by Gabriel Pasquier offered by La Venotte & les Jeunesses Musicales de Mirecourt.
Victoria Wong, 3rd prize
Yumiko Yumiba, 4th prize
Aside to her fourth prize, she gets the special prize of Contemporary String Instrument Manufacturing, a two-year-lent-copy of the "Vieuxtemps 1741" of Guarneri Des Gesù by Bogidar Vermand from the "Atelier Vermand Luthiers".
